Instead of writing about “regular” makeup that is extremely hard to sell through your affiliate links, concentrate your efforts on vegan, cruelty-free, and 100% natural makeup or skincare. A large segment of women choose to be environmentally conscious and will be eager to buy an unknown (“no-name”) brand product if they are convinced to purchase a high-quality ingredient list.

As a curly girl, I know firsthand how lucrative this niche is. Even though I regularly write about micro niches sites and build big “authority” websites, it’s up to you to choose a small micro niche site that is easy to develop or choose a longer path.

A “micro” niche site is generally a smaller website or blog that targets only 1 primary keyword.

What’s the difference between a general niche site and a micro niche site?

My Experience with Micro Niche Websites
As I already have mentioned, I’ve personally built dozens of micro niche websites. I have done very well with them all. I began developing these micro sites many years ago when the competition was not as fierce as today.
The key benefit of these types of micro websites is that you can target a keyword quickly, and having an exact match domain often provided a benefit for ranking in Google. Moreover, by targeting such specific terms, I was often able to write articles about exactly what the visitors and readers were looking for.

Therefore, targeted keyword relevancy was vital to my website’s success.
Authority Niche Sites – How Do They Rank?
Even though I’ve built so many small niche sites successfully, times have changed.

But, can you make $1000 a month, specifically from a micro niche affiliate website?
The answer is yes and no.
You may stumble upon people who claim to make over $1000 monthly from one micro niche affiliate site.
It’s difficult to determine these claims’ accuracy since they are made on different forums by anonymous people and rarely disclose the website that is making money, out of fear to create competition.
From $0 to $1000 a month, in 30 sites
Now you can see why micro niche sites are so tempting.
They are easy and cheap to set up and manage. You can buy a domain for less than $10 and decent shared hosting for $3 monthly. WordPress and WP themes are free and take about 5 minutes to set up.
The only missing ingredient is the content.
You cannot rank in Google without content. The content might seem like something that would take a while. You need to be an expert on the topic of writing and have writing skills.
Turns out, for micro niche websites, you don’t.
Since you pick a keyword with very low competition, even mediocre or content can get you a good rank.
It could be hard to earn $100 from one micro niche website. However, what I do (and what most affiliates do) is create 10 websites, or even more. When each website, in its’ specific niche, will be earning $100 a month, which is very doable, you can easily multiply and replicate the process and earn the same revenue from more sources.
If you are looking to create a big and established website, I would advise you to invest your time, money, and energy into a larger, authority website. On the other hand, if you want to start making money online faster (and easier), making many small micro niche websites is the ideal shortcut.
