New Feature: Offer Rotation

New Feature: Offer Rotation

Offers Rotation

Besides URL(Landingpage) rotation you can rotate even offers.
This option is available in the URL’s & Rotation tab and appears in the dropdown if you add a new condition.

Just select the Offer with % of traffic option from the drop down.
Then just select the preferred offer, which should take part in the rotation:

offers-rotation1

So now, such an offer will be participating in the rotation among previously added URLs on the percentage basis with all rules, which were mentioned above:

offers-rotation2

Combining URLs and Offers rotation will allow you to determine your campaigns/products performance more deeply. Also, this will help your affiliates to get rid of a need to use tons of tracking links for different offers and just use one instead.

Let’s move further and investigate some other options, available for offers rotation:

offers-rotation3

  1. Auto Approve Affiliate for the Offer. Check this box, if you want your affiliates to freely access the rotation offer. Otherwise the redirection of an Inappropriate Traffic will take affect.
  2. Copy Affiliate Sub IDs. This allows to copy all transferred by affiliates Sub IDs values from the initial offer to the rotation offer during the offer-to-offer redirect process.

Force Rotation

offers-rotation4

This simple feature excludes the Main landing page URL, so it will not receive any traffic and you can concentrate traffic on the previously added destination points.

New Advanced Rules

In order to make the life of our clients more easier, we made some improvements to our current “Custom Parameters” Tab.
To better reflect the meaning and usage we also renamed it.

Goodbye Custom Parameters and Hello Advanced Rules!

You can find the new “Advanced Rules” section among the others at the Offer’s Edit page.
These rules are used in order to set custom payouts and/or caps for specific or all affiliates along with an ability to set custom redirect rules and date ranges, which these parameter will affect.

The adding form consists of two sections: conditions and parameters.

advanced-rules-1

Conditions section.
Here you define the conditions:

  • Date Start
  • Date End
  • Affiliate
  • Geotargeting. By Countries
  • Geotargeting. By Regions
  • Geotargeting. By Cities

Parameters section.
Select the Parameter you want to change:

  • Payout from the Advertiser
  • Payout for Affiliate
  • Daily cap
  • Monthly cap
  • Total cap
  • Redirection
  • Redirection for Inappropriate Traffic

Logic of the process

Once the advanced rule is added, your platform is checking every transaction/click whether it does meet all mentioned conditions and if yes, applies selected parameters to it.

You can add one or multiple conditions/parameters for one rule.

Multiple Rules are possible, but keep in mind that the logic follows the order of the entries.
The following rule overwrites the previous rule if same conditions are used.

Payouts

This feature is especially handy for setting payout changes for various date ranges.

E.g. you need to implement the payout increase for all affiliates starting from the next day. Follow next steps to do that:

  1. Just add the start date (set the next day for our example) and don’t add any other conditions in order to have this without an end date and applied for all affiliates:advanced-rules-2
  2. Enter new payout values:advanced-rules-3
  3. Click the Add button.
  4. Our payout changes have been added and are shown in the list:
  5. advanced-rules-4

So in our example, the new payouts will cover all conversions for all affiliates which are recorded after the Start-Date of 2016-12-14.
Since no End-Date is selected it will keep this payout until you change it.

Important: use this way ONLY to add or edit all payout changes for the offer
DO NOT try to edit initial payout values at the Details tab of the Offer’s Edit page.
Otherwise this change will affect ALL previous dates and transactions.

Payouts by GEO

You can also set individual payouts for each GEO or Region.
To use this option, just add any geotargeting condition and select appropriate regions if needed, then add payouts:

advanced-rules-5

Caps

You can set Daily, Monthly or a Total cap:
That way, each affiliate can have his personal Offer Cap, if required.

advanced-rules-6

You can change one or all three Cap Conditions, according to your needs.

The Count Pending transactions checkbox gives you the ability to apply caps for pending transactions as well.

Note: If you set a custom cap for the specific affiliate and its value is higher than the cap value within the Offer Limitations tab, your platform will use the cap value from the Limitations tab and ignore the advanced rule.

Redirection

Add this parameter to redirect all inappropriate traffic (wrong geo, cap reached, affiliate is not approved for this offer etc) of an affiliate/affiliates to another offer/offers.

advanced-rules-7

If you choose several offers for the redirection, the redirection to them will be made by order.

All mentioned parameters can be set separately or all in one record (which totally depends on your needs):

To change anything in the existing parameter just click on it in the list and edit the rule.

New Offers-View

Thanks to all the feedback from our clients, we could improve the view for the offerslist.

New Feature: Deep Linking

New Feature: Deep Linking

Deep Linking

Turning on the Deep Link Feature:

In order to support our E-Commerce customers we developed a custom deep linking feature.

You can find and enable this option during the offer setup.

Providing some clear examples will help your affiliates to understand, how to use the function.

Deep Link Feature for Affiliates:

Once an offer has deep linking enabled, affiliates will see a new section within the selected offer.
It explains how to use the deep linking feature.

Affiliates als see the description which is provided during offersetup.

How to use Deep Linking Parameter?

In the following example, we are using the Scaleo website as example.

Regular Affiliate Link which will redirect to Main Website:
https://x.scaleo-up.com/click?offer_id=47&affiliate_id=51

Deep Link to redirect on the newspage of Scaleo:
https://x.scaleo-up.com/click?offer_id=47&affiliate_id=51&deep_link=http://www.scaleo-up.com/blog

Deep Link Reporting:

Used deep_link url’s will be shown in Statistics and appear as ‘Offer’s URL within the reporting

Changes: Payout Request & Reports Sorting

Changes: Payout Request & Reports Sorting

Payout Request & Report Sorting

In order to improve the usage of Scaleo for our customers, we applied some small changes to current functions.

Affiliate Payout Request:

If you are using this function, affiliates have an option within their dashboard to request a payout for their commissions.
Before the changes, they could send unlimited requests, as long as affiliates had enough balance.

In order to keep it easier for your finance managers, these payout requests are now limited to one open request per affiliate.
As soon you the open request is set as paid, affiliates can issue another payout request.

If there is already an open request, affiliate will get an errormessage.

payout-request

Reports Sorting:

Many Scaleo customers are using our .xls export in order to sort and look through reports.
For all of those, who just want to have a short look and sort numbers around, we made all reports, except transaction reports, sortable.

Just click on the respective column in order to have them sorted ascending or descending.

New Feature: Landing Page Rotator

New Feature: Landing Page Rotator

Our Landingpage Rotator:

A very handy feature, which delivers a great value to our clients in a matter of Landing Pages optimizing.
It will help you to find out which of your landingpages performs best, by “rotating” them, depending on a percentage, which you define at the offer setup.

This option is presented under the Additional URLs tab of the Offer’s Edit page and can be enabled, by choosing the Receive % of Traffic type from the drop down list:

lp-rotator

So, e.g., if we set 5% for the particular URL, this exact amount of clicks will be redirected to this alternative landing page.

Add as many URLs, as you like. The percentage of traffic for the Main Landing Page URL will be calculated automatically:

lp-rotator1

On the other hand, you can continue using standard Additional URLs (Available for Affiliates type), which are visible for affiliates and could be utilized by them at will for streaming traffic (URL ID #13 from the example above). Such URLs WILL NOT take part in “rotating” on the percentage basis.

Note: if the sum of percentages for all added URLs is over 100%, only the first URLs in the list will be used for rotating. For example: we have 3 URLs (70%, 35%, 40%) – redirect will be just to 2 first URLs (70% and 35%, which gets 30% actually).

Once you notice, that any of additional landing pages performs really bad, you can just switch it off, by editing the record and setting the inactive status – this URL will be placed at the end of the list and will be excluded from the rotation:

lp-rotator2

IMPORTANT: all landing page URLs including the percentage of traffic, will be hidden in your affiliates reports, so an affiliate will only see the Main Landing Page URL wording for reports in that case.

lp-rotator3

New Feature: Hide Referrer

New Feature: Hide Referrer

Hide Referrer

This feature is enabled by default for each added offer and can be found at the Details tab of the offers’s edit page:

hide-referrer

Using this function will ensure the trafficsource remains hidden from the advertiser.

It also hides/shows the Referrer URL within the Transactions report:

hide-referrer-2

New Feature: Manager Permissions

New Feature: Manager Permissions

Manager Permissions

Now each manager in the platform can have one of two roles, which gives them different access levels. This setting can be found at the Edit Manager page:

Full access, as shown, allows to handle all platform data (the same as Admin).

Limited – manager can work with his own users data only. Lets check what exactly the Limited Manager will be able to see on the Platform’s pages.

  1. General.
    • the amount of his own Affiliates and Advertisers (which the particular manager is assigned to);
    • the quantity of impressions/clicks/conversions of his users;
    • registrations/offer requests/postbacks of his users;
  2. Offers. Manager can view details of the offers, which assigned to him affiliates can run. E.g. the affiliate is denied for the particular offer, then his manager won’t be able to check this offer’s details as well. Yes, Limited Managers can only view offers details, but not edit them.
  3. Affiliates, Advertisers. Manager can see only his own users.
  4. Finances. Transactions of his own users only.
  5. Reports. Manager can see only statistics and transactions of his users only.
New Feature: New Settings Page

New Feature: New Settings Page

Settings Page

The new updated Settings page is now presented with 3 tabs:

On the General tab you can set basic parameters:

  • Company Name
  • Homepage URL (the link when you click on the logo in the top left corner)
  • Logo image
  • Favicon
  • Default Image (will be used for default userpic and offers icons)
  • The color scheme of the platform.

URLs tab. As per the title, this page enables you to view/manage the URLs of the platform:

  • Global Redirect URL (for redirection of all inappropriate traffic)
  • Privacy Policy URL
  • Terms URL for Affiliates
  • Terms URL for Advertisers
  • Affiliates Sign Up URL
  • Advertisers Sign Up URL

For Terms, Policy, Sign Up links – you can leave these fields blank, if you don’t want to show these elements to users.

The Advanced tab contains:

  • Language by Default (the default language, if you have several languages in the platform)
  • Language Toolbar (you can hide it, if you plan to use only one language)
  • Default Manager (choose one or more managers, which will be assigned to all new users by default)
  • Minimum Payout for Affiliates (the threshold value, from which affiliates can request payments)
  • Insert Code (a valuable feature, which allows you to add various code, which will be shown on all pages of the platform, like: chats, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, support systems, push notifications, etc.)
New Feature: Offer Targets (Goals)

New Feature: Offer Targets (Goals)

Feature: Offer Targets (Goals):

The ability to track Targets (or Goals) can be very handy for tracking user’s additional actions, e.g.: filling in the profile info, uploading a photo, email’s confirmation etc, while the main conversion could be user’s registration for the CPA model. The other usage could be the tracking of various purchases in an e-shop for CPS offers.

In order to get access to targets you need to open the tab with this title in the offer’s edit form:

The next step is to fill in required fields:

And click the “Add” button.

Here you go, the brand new target has been added.*

Now you can find the Target Tracking Link/Code, which you can give to the advertiser:**

*Note: the selected tracking type of the offer (server side or client side) will be used for targets. The server side tracking is used in this example.

**Note: the {main_target_hash} token should be replaced with the actual hash value at the advertiser’s side, as for the basic S2S tracking.

Thus all conversions made with the usage of this Target code will be recorded and can be viewed in:

  1. Offers Report, breakdown “By Targets”:
  2. Transactions Statistics (select “Targets” in parameters):
